how can I increase my ability to see, hear or smell.

since we are descended from apes we must have had better senses than we have now. are these still in our genes.
if it is, is it possible to trigger it?

Human has 5 senses. The strongest sense is Sight. We can see the full spectrum of colors. We take this for granted. Our sense of smell is about 500-1000X worse than dogs. Our sense of taste is inferior to snakes. And our sense of hearing inferior to bats.

When one of our senses becomes dominant, the other senses take a back seat. So if you close your eyes, you will be force to listen and feel more. You can do the same for your other senses, giving a greater opportunity of different senses to play the dominant part.

The other way of improving our senses is by using electronic aid, for example, a hearing aid for listening, night vision goggles for better sight at night, etc.

Hi.. Every person is certain in by hook or by crook... Some individuals feel that humans having more feel of humour are too boring.. Have your pals ever said that you do not have a humorousness or something like that... In case your reply is 'no' then i don't in any respect feel that you just require to cultivate humour inside your self when you consider that your buddies like you the way in which you might be.. But when your answer is 'yes' then i consider its complex... And by the way cracking jokes or being humorous does now not make up your approach within the society.. And if to speak in regards to the comments then i shall say that you're one amongst the group of people that doesn't like comments which entails me to... So my mantra is just to show a entire deaf ear in the direction of these humans but even as try to improve on these info that are more likely to be commented.. I am hoping this may alternate you somewhat ... And i am sorry if any of my phrases have hurt you... Take care.

Yes, indeed, you are able to sharpen your senses. It does require a great deal of concentration and practice.

I am a retired Airborne Ranger, very accustomed to functioning at night. I could see a lit cigarette up to 1/2 mile away. I could vividly hear the slightest difference in natural surroundings. I could smell people up to 100 meters away. I could see where people had traveled, and depending on many things, determine how long ago and how many there were that traveled across a path.

So, yes, you can attune your senses much more acutely.

I hope this helps.

Become a gardener and become more in tune with the earth. Take camping trips and nature hikes. Watch discovery and read, read, read.

Several years back I was on a trip to Maryland. It was warm and sunshiny. Beautiful day. Suddenly, I felt this overwhelming sense of doom and gloom. I drove for 10 more minutes and saw smoke coming from the horizon. I drove for 5 more minutes and saw firetrucks and a section of a wooded area near the expressway on fire. Birds were flying up. I am sure many animals were dying. Maybe even people. It was very sad.

I remember having the same feeling for days after 911. As if the spirits were coming closer on their way to their final destination. Who knows?

I had a music teacher who became blind as a small girl.I was in the back row in the class, doing my usual drawing cars. She immediately stopped talking looked right at me and told me to put the pencil down. That shocked the hell out of me,she actually heard the pencil on the paper. An I was really trying to be quite too.I never drew again in music class.

I would try disabling one of your other senses for example block off your eyes for an extended period of time and I bet your smell and hearing get better, but it will take more than a day or two I am sure.
