Filter through the bad ones and hopefully you will see some decent thought put into your answers. I like to email people who give good answers and applaud them. A lot of them will then see my other questions and answer them as well. Why don't you try it.

Unfortunately that is Yahoo! Answers for you. An awful lot of the answers you will receive are not worth spending your time reading.
In my opinion there should not be an automatic 2 points for an answer. The questioner should be able to decide not only the best answer but also which answers were helpful or at least well intentioned and deserve the 2 points.
If the questioner does not select a best answer and the question goes to voting, only those answers that receive votes would get the 2 points (you would of course have to remove the ability to vote for your own answer).
Adopting this practise would possibly reduce the number of quick answers that are just posted for the points.
To give you some hope that there is some intelligent live on these boards I have attempted to answer your earlier question with a more reasonable reply.

If you have received infantile answers, just remember that they could have been rude and insulting instead. People come in all shapes, temperments and sizes. Most of the answers are OK, and usually it is just a few idiots who have to ruin it by misunderstanding the question, by being goofy, or by making you feel lousy. Ignore them, because sometimes people do say wise things - and to stop asking questions means we will no longer receive answers. Hang in there.

There are no age restrictions that I know of in Yahoo answers.
Go ahead ask. You just have to expect that some people are going to give you infantile answers.

I totally understand what you mean i have had this happen to me...
i just say that those are the ppl that only get joy of belittling other ppl because they do not think much of themselves so try not to get all worked up over a self consious person making you feel bad

Yes I think I understand what you mean,however it takes all types
to make a world..(shame you all can't be like me ....a real shame) but that's the way it is ......its all part of the rich tapestry of life
