Do you know the modern history of Israel? Here is a brief summary. The desire of Jews to return to what they consider their rightful homeland was first expressed during the Babylonian captivity after 597 BC.
There is no evidence of any interruption of the Jewish presence there for the last three millennia.
The British Mandate 1920-1946
Under the terms of this Mandate, Britain's principal obligation was to facilitate the implementation of the Balfour Declaration of November 2, 1917 which pledged "the establishment of a national home for the Jewish people."
In 1922 the British divided Palestine into two administrative districts. Jews would be permitted only in the west side.
In 1946 the British had partitioned Palestine and created an independent Palestine-Arab State - Jordan.
November 29, 1947, the General Assembly of the United Nations voted with a 2/3 majority to partition western Palestine into a Jewish and an Arab State.
The Arabs rejected it.
The Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin Al Husseini stated "I declare a holy war, my Moslem brothers" "Murder them all!"
On the day that Israel declared its independence, the armies of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq invaded their tiny country with the declared intent of destroying it.
Three major attempts to destroy Israel have been carried out by the Arab world:
1947 1967 and 1973.
Is there another country that has been pressured politically, and agreed to, give back land won in a war?
What other country is pressured NOT to defend its territory and citizens from attack?
Would we sit back and ask for negotiations if someone launched bombs into anyone of our cities?
Israel is doing what every country has a right/responsibility to do, protect its citizens and its borders.
Israel has every right to defend themselves against Hezbollah and Hamas. Both of these terrorist organizations have the destruction of Israel as their goal.
Other countries need to think about this. They may start with the Jewish people...then who is next? Hitler started with the Jews, but did not stop there.

I support myself. I wished that both Israel and Palestine would disapear. Then maybe I wouldn't wake up and turn on my T.V to see the same boring news!
And by the way, I think both Israel and Palestine are at fault for what is happening, not only Palestine. The reason to this is because the only reason Palestine uses suicide bombing and secretly attacks innocent civilians is because no one is trying to undersatnd them and look at stuff from their point of view. The U.S gives Israel full back up support and Palestine doesn't have the weapons and the technology that Israel and the U.S has which leaves the Palestinians with only one way to defend themselves, through Terrorism....
But still, I remain neutral. They are both acting very immature and should grow up. And we as Americans should mind our own business!!!! Lett them fight and kill each other.

Neither! I'm sick and tired of the entire Israel/Palestinian situation, as I have been hearing the same bull**** ever since I can remember, and at 47 now, despite what the US may try, nothing will ever change. As we say in Spain, this whole conflict is "el pan nuestro de cada dÃa" or "our daily bread". That record got old when I was a teenager, so needless to say it is past old now.
Let them kill each other and let the media concentrate on something else, because my reaction everytime I hear about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict is to change the channel. As much as I hate to watch Jerry Springer, I prefer to watch him over more Israeli/Palestinian conflict in the news.
In conclusion: Unless there is a resolution, I don't want to hear it.

Israel would not be such a strong bully if the US stopped giving them money and weapons. That's how we pay for our friends.
Where did you get your information that the Palestines bombed these countries?

I couldn't care less about either side. 1000 Isreali's and 1000 Palestinians are not worth 1 American soldier as far as I am concerned.
