Divorce courts, like a lot of other courts, issue decisions. Those do not necessarily have anything at all to do with justice. Particularly when the decisions are looked at with the jaundiced eyes of two people who are not getting along. The judge will decide custody, perhaps set visitation rights, and set support to be paid to the person with custody. I'd suggest that you consider going back to school unless you've got a line on a job. It's better for women but men of your age are not prime hiring candidates. Good luck and God bless you.

Sweetie you have a ton of work experience, you've been a housewife for 25 years, sit down and think for a moment about what you are good at. Get on your computer and find a stay at home on the compute job, start a in home daycare, a kids transportation business, hell sell lunches at the construction sites cause I'm sure you can throw down in the kitchen, keep your head up my sista all will be fine. Because you are strong.

Ok, first things first unless you have ever been arrested for or have a police report for child or drug abuse, you will be awarded custody of your children and the house automatically becomes yours because of the kids. If you did not work or contribute to your house income, then you will be awarde spousal as well as child support. Now depending on how much your husband makes, depends on what you get, This may not be a great deal or enough to live on so you may have to return to the work force to pay for everything. Now if you two are departing as friends, work out the details without the attorneys; the courts love it and itll save you money. Now he will be awarded Marylands children visitation rights but thats the law. Divorce is never easy on all parties involved especially the kids as they tend to blame themselves for parents breaking up, but there are support groups out there to help them and for you too. It wont be easy at first, but life goes on and so will you and yours. Sorry about your divorce and good luck to your new future, If I can be of further assistance or any questions just email me and Ill get back with you

at best only three years of alimony.... i dont know the state laws there but if you and he decided you would raise the kids and be a stay home mommy then its a verbal contract in most states. if i was you i would want to ask the judge to atleast allow you to have alimony support while you re-educate yourself at a tech school most of the time you can go for two years and make some good money and you can plann school around your childrens school schedule becuase more then anything they are at the age they need your the most now, as trouble is around every corner lurking with a good parent there as far as how much. it all depends on how much the two of you bring in together when you do speak to the attorney though mention verbal contracts and why you have been out of the work force..... god speed and good luck always be the mommy even if it mean moving in with mom till the youngest is out of school.
