Why do people cheat when they know they have something good at home??????

Because they think with the wrong side of the brain.

There is always that nagging feeling of something better in the back of their mind. They want to see if the grass is really greener on the other side.

They also make up BS to cover up what they've done. This is usually just to make peace with themselves because naturally they knew what they did was wrong.

just don't feel the same way about their partner
angry against their partner.
they might say or think that their partner is cheating so they then cheat in revenge.

It doesn't really matter what they got at home. Kids, wife, great girlfriend. Some just don't have a conscience.

Exactly why is one of those questions that has no real answer. Sometimes just trying something or someone new is all the reason that they need, especially if they have been in a relationship for a long time and they get tired of the same old routine. Another reason is because of they think that their partner has betrayed/cheated on them without ever taking the time and effort to find out if there is any truth to what was said.Whatever the reason once the trust is broken it's very hard if not impossible to get it back,AND I SPEAK FROM EXPERIENCE AS I WALKED IN ON MY NOW EX-WIFE AND MY THEN BEST FRIEND GOING AT IT HOT AND HEAVY ON OUR LIVING ROOM FLOOR.

2 reasons...
1. They need the thrill of cheating (in which case leave)
2. You aren't doing it enough or good enough or there is bad emotions between you (if this is the case you have every chance of making it work)

If #2... Talk to him and ask him what it is that he wants sexually. Most men I know that cheat do so because they hear the word "NO" far too often and they find women who are willing to do the things that thier wife wont do. I am not saying that you need to have 3somes but try to listen to what he is asking for. He has most likely already told you what he wants and you have denied him. You will have to decide if your preference sexually is worth divorce.

BECAUSE THEY REALLY DON'T BELIEVE THEY HAVE SOMETHING GOOD AT HOME. THEY ARE SOMETIMES INSECURE, OR BORED FOR ONE REASON OR ANOTHER, THE GRASS LOOKS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PASTURE, THEY NEVER GREW UP, SOMETIMES FEEL THEY WERE CHEATED OUT OF SOMETHING OR ARE LISTENING TO OTHERS IN THE WORK FORCE AND THE EXCITEMENT SOUNDS GOOD, AND THE LIST GOES ON. IT CAN BE ONE REASON OR SEVERAL. WHATEVER THEIR MIND WISHES TO BELEIVE..

It isn't about hurting someone else's feelings or because they don't care about their significant other's feelings...it is like some of the others said above....there is something missing from the relationship and they try finding it elsewhere or because they have a hard time with temptation.

they always think there are greener pastures so they want to try them all, sometimes its because they are so impressed with themselves and the idea they can get anyone into bed they want to. then if their mate cheated they cheat to get back at them, even sometimes when they just think they cheated. its a stupid and viscious cycle

i think people cheat on there spouses, because of that wonderful thing called lust. and the desire not to fight it. we as couples are faced with temptation everyday, but if that person truly wants to be loyal they will. resentment, is the number one factor, in cheating marriages.

They cheat because they feel they are "missing" something at home! For my husband it was someone to submit to his every whim!!
