I just recently had all my tires replaced and the next day my abs lights came on in my dashboard. Well, today the first time I hit my brakes my abs system activated or something and my van felt like it had no brakes for a brief moment. I have to work tommorrow using my van and I was wondering if it is dangerous and what might be wrong. Thanks alot for any help.

The answer about tyre size is an excellent point, if you have wheels turning at different speeds this will disrupt the ABS computer.

When the ABS is activated during heavy braking it will apply and release the brakes as required to prevent wheel lock up. This can be an unnerving experience and can feel very strange but is normal.

If your ABS light is still on, it needs checking out.

yes check tire sizes first, it's possible that a wire to one of the abs sensors was damaged or unplugged during the tire install, if not there are many components to the abs system so you will need to have it inspected by a shop, they will be able to retrieve a code from the abs module to help diagnose the problem

Check to see it the tires are the same size, and if so check the air pressure.

They didn't bleed the brake lines. It's fine though.
