The "Celebrity Y!A Question" posted by Bono has been resloved, and the "Best Answer" was chosen by the "ONE: The campaign to make poverty history".

Out of nearly 30,000 answers, the individual who received "Best Answer" is someone who has, to date, only answered one question on Y!A. I think the "Best Answer" was a plant by Bono and/or the One campaign.

Should we "report" Bono under the suspicion that his post was answered by a "ringer"?...

I've never reported anyone, as it goes against my philosophical grain. But you've got to admit that flooding the Y!A team with reports against Bono would be, at the very LEAST, a brief but somewhat entertaining diversion...

Here's a link to the question:

So, are you up for it... I'll get it started right now...

Just select 'Other' and make the comment something like:

Suspect questioner planted a "ringer" to receive BEST ANSWER.

Believe me Yahoo Answers had a big of role in this as Bono and his side kick David.
I think its a real slap in the face to everyone here..How very disrespectful yahoo answers is to everyone here that has put time and effort into making this what it is.
It certainly was not the people running this site that has propelled it to where it is. It's people like you and me that come here daily to answer questions. Not just "one" like Bono's then that's it. Y/A has a lot to learn about respect!! As for Bono..well..Mr. Money can say whatever he likes as he spends his millions..its easy when sitting on top of a mountain looking down on everyone.
Yahoo Answers...NOT what it appears to be!!!

VERY DECIETFUL!!!!!

I had actually suggested the very same thing when Al Gore had his question posted for no other reason than being a humorous thing to do. After posting this question here on this site I found out that a fairly sizable number of people actually did report him, but most of these reports were actual complaints.
As I look at this I see it as people responding to something under their own opinion and bias which could be exactly the same foundation for Al Gore's actual question. And Bono's question for that matter. It's rather easy to invent reasons why I should or shouldn't, why I like or don't like. Maybe Al Gore has another agenda, being so deeply rooted as a politician, just wanting to make it appear like he's concerned about "important" issues so he can get elected to an office like the presidency. Maybe Bono has a similar agenda. The point I'm simply making here is....who knows?
I would strongly suggest just staying true to yourself and not reporting him. Don't lose your foundation if that makes sense. I think because you feel that the gravity of the whole matter, and it is your perception of it, is a lot heavier is not a good reason to jump ship on your personal philosophy. Although I do like the idea of it as a humorous gesture.
Everything considered I suppose that I just don't know squat. And I'm just doing what everyone else does here only using a few more words than average....All without cutting and pasting directly from Wikipedia.

It's true that that is alittle bit iffy, but then again, if we all start reporting him, and any of us answered the question like I did, it would look like we were just mad that our answer didn't get picked or something. There is always a way to spin it. So maybe he did set it up. We all got to put our say in. Some people who answered may actually beleive in thier answer enough to do something about it. So it doesn't matter who got the "best answer" For that moment in time, we were all thinking about ending poverty. I think that is the idea behind the question. That's what he does. Whether we like it or not, he gets us to pay attention to something that he thinks is important. Maybe someday he'll think that paying for school for nurses in Las Vegas is important, and everyone will send me money because Bono "made them look". We're just monkeys sometimes!

As a political figure, Bono is one heck of a singer. I like how uneducated musicians who've been rich most of their lives think they know the answers to the world's problems.

I reported him too. If Yahoo! Answers wants to take these celebrity questions seriously, they shouldn't be a$$-kissing contests.

No an impossibility occurring the background of the peoples of Africa. they are nonetheless mentally tribal of their methods, and that i can never see that changing. Bono could persist with song and bypass away the politics to people who're in touch in it, particularly the politicians
