I love those books!!!!! Believe me you are no a geek. I know tons of people who read and have read those books and some of them are considered cool. The first movie was awesome and went very well with the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I'm glad it wasn't like the old versions, they were horrendous and that is no exaggeration.

If so, then call me a geek, baby, cause I loved the entire huge book.

I don't see how reading quality lit makes one a geek, but in this day and age when people can barely speak english (I'm talking about the native born people, not immigrants), I guess I can see why some would consider a reader a geek.

No it doesn't make you a geek. that would be like saying if you read the lord of the rings series you are a geek. The chronicles of narnia is a good classic series.

i really wouldn't know because Narnia never interested me, and i'm just answering for the points. LOL. no, serioully, i don't even a single character's name from narnia, except for the goat thing.

but i don't think narnia makes people a geek, unless you read lord of the rings or harry potter or play pokemon or yugioh or duel masters or if you listen to the fish( "safe for the whole family" my a**)

Narnia seems like children's story but if you read between the lines, there are deeper meanings about life. Have you read the book called 'The Little Prince'?

Depends on how you define "geek." But, in the conventional sense, anyone who thinks reading is "geeky" and makes fun of others for doing so isn't worth bothering with in the first place...

It's escapism. It's only the fundamentalists who achieve "geekdom" in the cinema, because they spend most of their lives criticizing movies.

I don't. Reading isn't geeky. Reading an entire series isn't geeky either. I enjoyed reading the series myself.
