These bendable pieces of colored rubber have become a sexual code to many teens.
Here's a common breakdown:
Yellow: hugging
Purple: kissing
Red: lap dance
Blue: oral sex
Black: intercourse
In a game called snap, if a boy breaks a jelly bracelet off a girl's wrist, he gets a sexual coupon for that act.
It's become such a problem in some middle schools in Florida that districts started banning the bracelets.

They don't actually mean anything. Sure, sometimes people will use them as a joke, but every single person I've ever talked to has worn them because they like the look, and none of them have ever done anything because of the bracelets. I've never heard two people give the same meaning for any one color, either.

Junior high kids go around giving them to kids they want to fool around with. Its pretty skeevy, it adds to the element of peer pressure kids will face durring that time period.
