Hell no! This is a matter for the United Nations. NOT the United States! We have our hands so full with Afghanistan, Iraq & now Iran. Even if Bush wanted to jump in with his own set of sanctions, I doubt that Congress would let him. Of course, there's always the possibility that he'll do it in "secret" and we'll find out about it when another reporter from the New York Times reports it. And Bush will threaten him with reporting "classified information" unless of course, it was one of his top executives who leaked the information and they have to hurry up and de-classify it before anyone else finds out. Keep your eyes open for the next good read from The New York Times. The End.

I think that the US as of now should sit this one out. As Jeff stated, we already have our hands tied up with the wars in Afganistan and Iraq. If this escalates into anything more, I could see the gov't doing something along the lines of sanctions, but no military action until we have troops freed up from somewhere else.

We should give Israel what they need if they request assistance. Even if they have a strong military and they possess nukes, we, as strong allies, will need to back them up when the time comes.

I'm not sure the U.S. should do anything but try to talk to Israel and Lebanon. Israel already gets funding and military supplies from the U.S. anyway.

If you have the power to back somebody you should do it and right now the United states dosent have any power to give with it all being tangled up in "The war on terror".

Maybe if our country was at peace, but we have too many problems going on right now (mainly for meddling with international affairs that didn't concern us).
