I mean, the psychics think they know the future, then why not use this "knowledge" to get rich themselves?

well, the answer to this should be pretty self-evident....
i saw an episode of penn & teller's BULLSH*T once, where they had a guy, about 30, consult a few tarot card readers. for each session, they had the guy dress and act differently. for instance, for one of the sessions, he wore shabby, messy clothes, hadn't shaved in a few days, and smelled bad. the tarot reader concentrated on his "misfortunes with finding a job" and "responsibility", things of that nature. another time he wore a suit and slicked his hair back and had several people call his cell to make it look like he was some hotshot businessman. the readers referred to his "need for relaxation" and "time spent with family", etc etc...in real life, the guy is a successful private detective or something like that, with a happy family and a good life. all the tarot readers did was try to read him based on his appearance and actions. it has nothing to do with an ability to perceive things outside the normal realm of perception.

Because God doesn't like it when psychics get greedy, and they end up in a worse mess if they try to help themselves instead of others. Also when it has to do with yourself you are too close to the situation, your desires are too strong for the outcome to allow you to "read" the answer correctly. Also, very very few people can actually see the entire next day, they only see bits and pieces of it. That's sort of like asking why a brain surgeon doesn't operate on himself. Besides if they got one number wrong when picking the numbers for someone else, that person might be so mad that they would try to sue the psychic for being wrong.
