Anyone a member of disney vacation club?

If so how much does it cost? I just want to get an idea before I call and get tied up in something I cant afford. Let me know if you had a positive or negative experience.

You can order a free Disney Vacation Club DVD from the website. I did that, and I've watched it. It tells you all the rates and details in the video.

We just got back from Disney and looked into the vacation club. It is around 15000 for the basic package. If you plan on going to Disney a lot, it might be worth it, but we go every year and still opted NOT to get it. The prices of the hotels in the last 10 years have basically stayed the same, but tickets have went up. Tickets are not included on the vacation club.

Unfortunately, I am not a member... Too expensive, but I have an annual pass to Disney and have seen TONS of people with shirts, backpacks, etc. that are obviously members. Must be a good thing. If I were you, I would give them a call, they won't con you into something you don't want to do. I have never had any probs asking Disney reps questions. GL

I believe the current rate is around $101 and you have to buy a minimum of 150 points. So, you are looking at a minimum of $15,150 to join for the very basic option. Then, each year you have other fees you have to pay, they will generally go up about 7% from the previous year. I'm not exactly sure what the rates are per year. But I know some friends that are members, they were told that the fees would only go up 4% each year, but it has gone up more than that each year.
