If you look back, Pele had Stars around him. Who did Mardona have??? No one. It was because of him that argentina won Mexico 86 and made the finals in Italia 90. Do you remember what he did for Napoli?? Did Napoli ever win anything without him..not a thing...Santos of Pele did, so that means that Maradona can win you games, championships and world cups by himself...Pele was a great player...with excellent players playing with him...Maradona was a great player and the rest of the team will follow. Maradona is greater!!

Maradona is nothing but a hack and FYI: Maradona is the founding father of taking dives. In 1990 he took more dive in a single game not to mention the other games than all the dives combined in this world cup

Pele. He's the most complete footballer. His speed, balancing, skills, header, dribbling, passing, his goals, his teamwork, even his attempts to the goals are count and remarkable. Not like Maradona, the new generation see few of his playing cos in his time there were not many tv channels n live telecasts. It's all on CDs now. But once you see it, you know that he always dribbling the ball past several defenders and scores... many many times. Ask Beckenbauer, who had the chance seeing both playing - he will choose Pele the better one. Yupp... I'm agreed Maradona one of the greatest footballer but before you come to say his name, you have to say the name of Cruyff, George Best, Eusebio, Beckenbauer, Garrincha, Gerd Muller...n the list go on n on... Try compare Maradona with Jairzinho - any differences?

Diego Armando Maradona for sure was a lot better of controlling the games and he could dribble the ball past several defenders and score, Pele had great players surrounding him and yes he could score but all around player would have to go to Maradona.

Pele, of course. Lets see: Youngest player to score a goal in the world cup, youngest player to win one, therefor the youngest player to win back-to-back, as well as youngest player to win three. While Maradona did score perhaps the greatest goal every, this was shortly after he scored a goal with his fist, and a few years later he would be thrown out of the cup for being a drug addict. Also, Pele was more of a complete player. Plus, he scored over 1,000 goals, almost a goal per match, and made football what it is. Without Pele, perhaps Maradona never would have come along.
