As much as they overplay the popular songs on the radio, I really don't think it makes a difference. They get paid regardless if we buy their albums or not. That's why they have concerts and shows.

Downloading STOLEN music is wrong. Think of it like this. You get paid to produce music. Each time someone buys one of the CD's you get some money. Now, one of those buyers takes the music out and creates a digital copy. NOW every time some little mouth breather downloads the copy, you get Zero. Your money is not coming in because of this stolen music.

Stealing is wrong no matter how it's done.

Most of the people downloading music are teenagers. CDs can can be expensive, they usually cost $15-20. 5 CDs can cost up to $100, most teenagers can't afford to pay that much for anything. If one of my favorite bands release a new CD I will usually buy it. But if someone tells me about a band I haven't heard of or I see one on TV I usually will download it. And CD sales make-up a small percent of a bands actual income anyway. Concert tickets, T-shirts, and other merchendise. I think if CDs were alot cheaper then there wouldn,t be as much pirating as there is today.

I download to see if a CD is good or not. Then I'll go buy it. 90% of the time, I end up buying everything I downloaded.

not really, although I believe if you download a whole CD and enjoy, you should buy it to support the artist. If one song is good and the rest is crap, then download the thing, also, if you listen to it but you would never buy it normally, then whats the difference?

Not if you purchase it legally through a site where the artist gets their share of the royalties. If you download it free via filesharing software, you're a thief. When is it ever right to not pay someone for their hard work?
