Like what is the stereotype of Americans from a Brit point of view? Or what is the stereotype of Germans? Just give me as many nationalities as you can, and tell me the stereotypes.

Thank you.

quite some information is available at wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_stereotypes

and many links to additional sites/journals/books are given..

There is also
Erich Reigrotski, Nels Anderson. National Stereotypes and Foreign Contacts. Public Opinion Quarterly, Vol. 23, No. 4 (Winter, 1959-1960) , pp. 515-528

and there are indications that many stereotypes are mistaken, though are common:

There are millions of stereotypes, which mean generalizations about a whole people on the basis of usually false ideas about them.

-Mexicans are lazy and sleep all the time.
-All Mexicans sing and dance.
-Americans are rude, arrogant, and greedy.
-Chinese are barbarians.
-Germans are rigid and stiff.
-British food is the worst in the world.
-All blondes are dumb
-All redheads are hot-blooded
-Women are emotional
-All librarians are women who can't find a man
-Men want just one thing from a woman

See the sources for more...Just do a search on stereotypes and you'll get nearly 10 million web pages of info.

I'm beginning to think it isn't healthy to promote stereotypes.
Maybe you are better off trying to meet as many people from other countries as you can to form your own opinions.
