You can still accept gifts. Every home needs something, right? Use a bridal registry and put registry cards in your invitations to reduce the number of gifts you don't need. Your friends and loved ones will likely still buy gifts because they want to wish you well in your new marraige. Accept them graciously, be sure to say thank you. And you can return or give away anything you can't use. And by the way.... CONGRATULATIONS!

No. You cannot ask for money from guests. You cannot designate what gifts they should bring or ask for money for any honeymoon. That's totally rude and inappropriate.Gifts are given to bridal couples to wish them happiness. People can give you (or not give you) anything they think you'd like. So...You sweetly accept any gifts they give you and write thank you notes afterwards. If you don't really like the gifts, you then give them to the poor or you exchange them (if you can).
