Yes when we're very young about 5-9 our sub-concious minds record all the goings on in our lifes even outside interferences, then when we're all grown up we act as if they are our own beliefs and create our own world with these thoughts, untill we're ready to change them and find out who we really are!

Sure, everything you hear and see from your caretaker affects your life but only up to a certain age....we have the notion that we are messed up because of our parents. However, there comes a point in life (lot sooner for some) when you are conscious of the decisions you make and the path to take only because we are rational animals.

Is this a bad thing? If both of your parents are still together, still love each other and raised you with good values, morals, and love, given you everything, and supported you, then this is not a bad thing. Life is what you make of it, so IF you have screwed your life up, then thats you and not what your parents taught you. Get the picture

Yes.

It has been discovered that a child gets their emotional traits from their primary caretaker...usually the mom. And, they get their physical traits (not necessarily build) such as their outgoingness (introvert/extrovert) from their secondary caretaker (usually the dad).

If the child is smart, it will be strong enough to filter the negative through their critical mind filter so they are not too scarred from it when they are adults.

Sure, it has a tremendous impact. Not only what you hear, but their attitude towards you, and towards life in general. That is the way it is! Huge responsibility that parents have.
