All over America, it is currently under daylight savings time. At the beginning of November, daylight savings time will end. So for your question, EDT (eastern daylight time) is the time the eastern time zone is in right now. In November it will be EST (eastern standard time).

Hello, yes. Right now it is 4:20 Pacific Daylight time - that means it is 7:20 Eastern Daylight time.

Daylight time was invented to help farmers have more light for planting and such - so each spring the time would spring forward 1 hour, and in the autumn it goes back to standard time, by falling back 1 hour. We are currently in Daylight.

It is not a strictly american phenomenan - I know that the middle east for example has daylight time, but I think it starts on a different day than it does in America.

Peace!

yes it is it is now 2320 UTC .. eastern daylight savings time (EDT)is 7:20pm. as far as I remember, the whole east coast uses daylight savings time. Eastern standard time (EST) would be 6:20pm.

I think Eastern Standard would win in this contest because it has less time to think and is more likely to act sooner. Action is important.
