I want to know what things I should consider and what ROI should be and how the profits should be split between the investor and the creative team. Overall, how can I maximize my investment in this biz. Thanks.

I'd say, don't invest in movies, unless you have enough money to invest in 30 or so of them. Movies are very much like venture capital investments in that very few make it big. Those that do pay for the rest.

Forget about profits in the movie business. Notice that the stars take their cut out of the revenues. This ought to tell you something about the movie business.

They are almost always money losers. Did you need the tax write off?
