For the past week, anytime I move from one web page to another, or open an application, I get that spinning wheel, and it takes anywhere from 5-20 seconds to open.

I clean my cache regularly. I've changed energy settings. I've tried numerous Mac sites, plus the Apple site, and haven't gotten a definitive answer. Anyone have any idea what's causing this?

Turn it off or pull the plug. Wait at least a minute. Re-start and hold down the ESC key {or the open apple key - there is a combination or one key that stops the extensions} . It may be an extension problem.

I've found that insufficient RAM is a factor in this. Try investing in more RAM and also try restarting your computer to reset your RAM.
