Who do you lie to, and is it a regular thing for you? Do you have any conscience about it or do you just justify it as something all men just do? What do you lie about - anything and everything? Are there men who do not lie?

I know everyone tells a lie now and then, at least most people, including me :). But, I am refering to those who lie on a daily basis about anything and everything. Just wondering how prevalent this type of lying is in the male gender

Yes, the vast majority of men at one time or another have lied, even priests. Men mostly lie to achieve something like sex or acceptance from the boys club,etc. Its kind of like a macho thing where we have to try and outdo each other. We want the new girl on the street to like us more then the other guys but I am a sissy boy, so I make something up that I think will impress her and now Im superman. Same thing applies to just about anything anyplace in life. Your life is dull and boring and nobody wants to be around you, make something interesting up and soon you have lots of friends. Then comes more lies to keep the charade up and the next thing you know, your whole life is nothing but one big lie with alot of little ones to support the big one. We all exaggerate the truth somewhat to make it more interesting but what happens when that new girl on the street or your new friends discover that you really werent last years super bowl MVP?. But without lies, the world wouldnt be a very interesting place at all. Even the big boys do it, where would the Iraq conflict be without weapons of mass destruction or Clinton didnt swallow, see it happens on all levels of life and believe me, women do it too;just check the girls locker room. Besides are you sure we all are who we say we are?

I some times joke or exaggerate, but I generally never lie. Maybe I'm unusal. I know I am in some ways, or at least I once was. How about you? Some times women lie. How many times have you lied, LInda, and ended up on a bf's knee? Be truthful!

i have lied to prevent hurt or injury but never to cause injury and hurt! i know most guys i have had as supposed friends have lied to their friends lovers and wives about other relationships and, that is why i have no male friends only female fiends, they at least lie to protect or for fun mostly, yeah i know some do lie like men but the percentage is much lower for women than men!

I grew up in a house full of women...you can lie, make a lie to cover that lie, lie about that, and then make a lie to make me forget about everything.
