To the City. All that kind of info you want to know is in the public records. I am a Real Estate Agent and I know this for a fact. You can also go to any title company in your town and ask them. They can do a title search on your property and all the background. They will give you all the pertinent information about it. I am not sure if they will do it for free, but you can ask. I know they do it for the agents for free as part of their service. Title companies are very friendly.

If it's a historical house you can probably go to your cities website and find out information on the house.

I think if you'd check with your local law enforcement agency, they should have all records on any deaths or violent crimes that had happened at your residence.
