Magic is a weakness of Superman. Captain Marvel = being of Magic.
Doomsday can die over and over but slowly heal himself. Sort of like Wolverines healing factor, but whatever killed him before can't do it again. Example the Imperiex's laser beam thing reduced him to skeleton, but he came back, it took him a long time and he came back. The next time Imperiex did that to him, he shrugged it off. So Doomsday > Superman.
Also Kronas, the Spectre, there are more.

I'd have to say maybe Captain Marvel but the Martian Manhunter is close to his strength. Also, Wonder Woman is right there with him in terms of sheer power. Green Lantern, however, may be as powerful as him because of his power ring which is the most powerful weapon in the universe and is limited only by the will of the user.

God ... In the comic world Mxypltyzl was but only because superman is really susceptible to magic. There were others that were stronger than him but not all those were smarter or faster. Supes was the compleat package.

superman is susceptible to two things... magic and telepathy (see the omac project) so conceivably, if someone put a spell on him or took over his mind, then they would be more powerful than superman, because they could convince him to do anything (again, see the omac project, where a telepath pits superman against everyone else)
