Only if we are ready to institute a draft and send all of our sons into combat. We don't have the manpower right now, and we've done SO much good for the people of Iraq under the guise of humanitarianism. If you read the front pages of your local paper, you'll see that our boys haven't exactly been squeaky-clean either; we've committed some real atrocities that ring the second peal of the Vietnam War. War of any type, between any two nations, causes untold grief to the nations's people, civilians die, and there are rarely any winners.
Mass murder and genocide are not new. The same thing is happening in the nations of Africa every day, and we do nothing ..."not our problem" if governments of poor nations destroy each other. Oh, and I'm not African American, just a concerned American.

Well, I've long said that Israel is a terrorist state, but I don't think we should invade them. When dealing with war, a nation should make every attempt to avoid war whenever possible. The US never should have gone into Iraq. We should have gone into Afghanistan, but not Iraq. With Afghanistan, we had a reason to, we'd been attacked. With Iraq, there was no imminent danger. If we'd have gone into Iraq in 1993, when we should have, after they tried to kill a former president, that would have been fine. But not 2003.
Anyway, Israel poses no true threat to the US, has made no policy that threatens the US, and has not directed a terrorist attack on us. Thus, we have no reason to attack Israel. Should Israel pose a threat to the US, then we'd have justification for invasion. But not until then. Let's face it, the world doesn't want us to police them, they don't want us to do anything to help anybody, so I say we keep our hands off until we don't have a choice any longer. I don't like what Israel is doing, but again, it poses no risk to the US, so we have no legitamate claim to attack them.

Innocent Lebanese civilians?
That's an oxymoron. Since when was Hezbollah and it's supporters innocent or civilian?
You see, Hezbollah IS the Lebanese government. When the figurehead puppet democracy of Lebanon admitted that it can not control Hezbollah it admitted that it did not really control Lebanon and therefore isn't the true government of Lebanon. Hezbollah is. Hezbollah has been the one attacked. Civilians die in war. Hezbollah wants war. Hezbollah said so itself. Therefore Hezbollah is OK with it's civilians dying in this WAR. Otherwise it would never have invited attack by kidnapping Israeli Military Personnel - an obvious provocation to war. Hezbollah could instantly stop this attack. It chooses not to. Hezbollah chooses not to stop the attack. by returning the kidnapped soldiers the bombing would instantly stop. Hezbollah wants war. So Hezbollah has war. Congradulations Hezbollah. And good luck.

Perhaps Lebanon should have monitored and controlled the terrorist groups inside its own borders in compliance with the UN resolutions specifically on point.
Oh, yes, that's right, UN resolutions don't do crap. But a tank rolling across the border will have a terrorist squealing like a girl for a cease-fire while he rebuilds his weapons and brainwashes young boys as suicide bombers before sending them in the markets to murder civilians.
Those terrorists have been clamoring for a jihad, well, they got Israel's attention.
Perhaps they should spend more time building up their own country instead of trying to destroy people.
Next time, ask a question and not launch into an incredibly misguided tirade of self-loathing.
My tirade? Oh, I am responding to your question.

I wish some people would do research before spouting off like that. Isreal has done everything the world community has asked them to do. They pulled out of Gaza only to have the palestinians do more suicide bombings. They pulled out of Lebanon only for Lebanon to recognize Hezbollah and allow them to arm the border. Hezbollah is funded by radicals in Syria and Iran that want nothing more than Isreal off the face of the Earth. Isreal has every right to try to destroy Hezbollah. If the Lebanese government would get off thier @sses and disarm Hezbollah like the world community has asked repeatedly this would not be happening.

Nice try. Israel only attacks in response to being attacked. Do you own any books? Do you have any inkling as to the history of Israel since being created by the United Nations?
Anyone who sides with extremely violent terrorists over Israel is either insincere, ignorant, or anti-semitic.

that's. Any wanton destruction civilian existence is terrorism. The U.S. "sanctions" hostile to Iraq brought about 1/2 a million lives, for the most section babies and babies. for sure this is terorism. It became observed as "state terorism" as hostile to NGO terrorism or guerilla warfare because it became before accepted. because the mass media comes extra and extra lower than jewish possession the time period, even the idea of state terrorism has vanished. yet that does no longer mean human beings won't be able to imagine for themselves. i'm an American and that i recognize completely nicely what's happening. and that i do what i will, which include public screening of documentaries on the Palestinians and leafletting. Plus,my paintings the following on R&S which reaches a range of of human beings. i'm in basic terms a man or woman and those efforts ought to look paltry yet I surely haven't any extra own skill than any non-workplace-holder.

Israel has not been the agressor. In each case they were responding to an attack. So your premise is flawed. You probably think we (U.S.) are terrorists for going after the 911 terror organization, Alqaida, too! What a CROCK!
