hi i have asked this question before about very large wasps or hornets,they are really big?

i mean big like 2 to 2and a half in. in lenght, i live in ct. and dont know what they are. when they are frightened there tail goes up like a scorpion they look very dangerous. please help. i will be calling the dept. of enviromental dept. on mon.

Those sound like Hornets to us so dont mess with them, they can be real mean and can sting multiple times if needed!

They might be mud daubers....they look like hornets on steroids. They are will leave you alone for the most point unless you try to pick them up.
