They can sense vibrations and air movements through the hairs in their bodies - but they do not have "ears" as such, but they can pick up close loud sounds that produce sufficient vibration and therefore in that sense, to some degree, they can "hear".

I give up.. I tried to look at a few sites about flies and none of them said anything about them having ears or not having ears! So who know?! :)

i dont know but they are well able to fly around my head buzzing just as i get into bed to annoy me and sometimes are there to wake me up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
