In my opinion some of the best biryanis served in Hyderabad are
The Nizams Club
Bawarchi is OK
Pista House & Madina in Old City
Lasani in B.Hills (Boasts of preparing doodh ki biryani in Nizami Style)
I personally feel Hyderabad House Biryani is SICK
Infact there are some very good cooks who take orders and serve you real authentic dum biryani.

place is on the main road, next to Andhra Pradesh Riding Club
Mutton Biryani and Chicken Biryani (both Rs 55 per plate) are excellent

A good Hyderabadi Biryani cannot be bought coz it is not sold commercially. The stuff available in most of the restaurants tastes like yuck.
Please don’t get me wrong I my self have been eating out for almost two years now and find the food situation in Hyderabad quite literally appalling.
However there is still hope. Get your self invited to a Muslim household n you will be amazed at the way they do their Biryani. It is simply awesome. Then like one of the guys here says, get a cook to do it at ur place and do not compromise on the stuff the cook asks for n the result will be mouth watering….
Paradise is the worst place to have a Biryani so please spare urself the ordeal.

Hyderabad - Bawarchi, Paradise, Madeena, Basera, Garden Restaurant (close to Paradise), Niagara , Azizia, Madina (near Charminar - the original), The Nizam Club (in my opinion the 'real deal'), if you can find/persuade a member to take you there. Banjara Darbar and Narmada

There is a resturant near Himayat Nagar, called Narmada.. Just try out there.. I am sure you will never forget the taste..
