my computer keeps on alerting me that I have spyware and spam problems. I do not know what I should use or do in order to protect my computer.

I've tried all of the above and they're really good, but i found SpywareDoctor the best of them all and it's not too expensive.

You sure got a bunch of opinions what I use is spybot and ad-ware SE can get both at download.com they are free. They are removal programs. for this program always after you update be sure to click on the immunize tab. All 3 programs update at least once a week. Run your spybot and ad-ware se scan once a week. Also do a clean disk start then programs then accessories then system tools then clean disk. Once a week that will help clean up most of your spyware and also viruses.
Note: they do not conflict one person said only one program that is wrong. For only one is one Virus program and One firewall that's the ones that will conflict if more then one.

Just download Ad-Aware SE Personal and Spybot Search & Destroy. Both programs are free and are the best ones. There's also a free housecall at www.trendmicro.com that will remove spyware on your PC.

Use Windows Defender (Beta) in combination with http://safety.live.com beta site (Microsoft's site) and you can get a fairly decent protection from spyware, and virus. It also helps you keep your computer running smooth and clean by deletely temporary files and cleaning up your registry.

Most people rely on McAffee or Norton programs. They also keep Adaware regardless of their choice.
Make sure not to download several defence programs onto your computer as they might clash.

Hi, there maybe something wrong with your IE.
i recommand you to try firefox.
it can block that annoying ads and disable any virus on webpage. as you know, most virus are spread through internet.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

go to download.com and download Spybot Search and Destroy AND Adaware...only download them from download.com. Run them both. They are both free and catch different things.
