Bush is a stupid idiot. He is the cause for everything bad that has happened to this country. I don't see how people are so blind and re-elected him for another four years. He is the reason our people are still over seas fighting wars that didn't need to be fought in the first place. Everything that comes out of his mouth is crap and I can't wait to see him go out of office.

Bush isn't directly responsible for high gas prices... indirectly... he's sure stirring the pot in the middle east with talking about Iran and how we "could invade" (gas went up about 50 percent the month he said that earlier in the year)... and invading Iraq didn't help...

Does anyone remember the last time gas was so high... it was his dad when he/Saddam "caused instability" in the middle east...you start a war in a country remotely near an oil producing country... oil prices will rise... .bank on it... many have and have made hefty profits...

supply and demand is also a factor, but these are much more gradual and have slow impacts on price... unless oil started to run out... which it hasn't yet... we've saw the Chinese influence during the Clinton presidency... gas went from 1.00 to a 1.50 in 8 years... but not from 1.50 to 3.00 in six months...

Bush also support poor policy decisions... which is another reason I don't support him... no child left behind, medicaid perception, bad appointments (bolton, brownie)... ports, harriet meyers... not making osama a priority... take your choice... and I didn't even talk about Iraq...

No President Bush is not the reason the gas prices are so high. The biggest reason is that the demand has increased dramatically from China. They are growing in leaps and bounds. This little action this week has also caused it to jump a little bit, but that will probably correct itself.

No, it is a mixture of greed and instability of the Middle East. People who control the flow of oil are hedging their bets that we will have a major disruption in the supply of oil to the rest of the World. Even though, the amount of oil coming from the Middle East has been stagnant, instability has always been a reason that prices goes up. A figurehead can not control prices. A US President can not do anything major without getting permission from Congress. If either the President or Congress oversteps their bounds, than the Supreme Court puts them back in line. Please go back to government class at a non public school and learn something.

Bush isn't exactly the reason but something intersting about the gas is we actually have a lot we're just paying more for economy and the government doesn't want us to know. Bush has made so many bad choices its too many to count. I can't wait till the next election.

How is Bush possibly the reason gas is so high? The price of gas is a function of supply and demand. We keep demanding more, they keep supplying less, and the price goes up. Bush has nothing to do with it. That's part of living in a society with capitalism and free markets.

Yes he is to blame if oil was in short supply why are there not gas stations with no gas like the 70's gas shortage. Why are the oil companies giving $400 million compensation packages to retiring executives. Bush is suppose to be the leader of this country why is it he never has any answers to these questions? That is what makes me suspicious.

Bush has nothing to do with the price of gas. Oil is traded on the worlds Commodities Markets. The people that speculate in Oil Futures are the ones who drive the price of oil. The latest middle east problems are driving the prices. The speculators believe the supply of oil will be interupted, so the bid higher prices to buy the oil.

Bush does not call the speculators and tell them to bid up the prices, although, the liberals would tell you that he does.

i dont think bush is the reason gas is so high. gas prices are raising because of fear comming from the oil companys, they are able to sell gas at a cheaper price but they are afraid that they will run out.

but president bush isnt helping, in alaska, their is enough oil to power america's cars for the next 200 years, and why arent we usin g that gas.

trust me, im from new jersey. taxes and financial problems are the worst in this state. worse then any other state. i know financal problems more then people from any other states.

No hard feelings but I don't think Bush is intelligent enough to be a good president (have you ever listened to him try to speak?). I do think Condaleeza Rice is a good president even though we didn't vote for her (I think she's doing all the thinking for him). And I'd be much happier if Colin Powell had stayed around. Anyway, I'm voting for Barack Obama if he runs in 2008; although wouldn't it be amusing to have Hilary Clinton as President with Bill as the first lady? We could call them the Hillbilly presidents (get it?)
