I have a wireless network, and all the computers using it are PC's. Recently, however, I bought a Mac laptop. This laptop can see the network, but won't connect to it. I think the problem is that the laptop's IP address can't be seen by the router. Can I add it manually? How so?

Your concept of how your LAN works is flawed.
Routers don't "see" IP addresses nor can you "add" an IP address to one.
It sounds like your Mac isn't using DHCP to automatically get an IP address from the router.

If your wireless network set as a DHCP on, then you Mac can get the IP automatically and you no need to set any IP of your Mac.
I think you should download the reinstall the latest wireless driver to your Mac and config the right protocal and set as automatic to get the IP from DHCP.

you can obtain your IP address manually through your network connetion "USE THE FOLLOWING IP ADDRESS" then assigned your desired IP address

i think mac supports 128bit encryption only. if u r using 64bit wep then u change to 128bit.
