Subscription music services allow to you safely download a virtually unlimited number of tracks for a flat monthly fee.

My own subscription collection contains over 2000 tracks by 863 different artists. I have over 1200 of them transfered to my Creative Zen Vision M that I carry around with me.

Based on an evaluation of prior foray into P2P music, subscription music has the following advantages over music sharing networks which share music illegally:

* Greater catalog coverage of music (P2P only had popular tracks by artists and often didn't have tracks by older artists that I liked)
* Reliable download in minutes rather than days or never (off beat tracks never downloaded using file sharing)
* Consistent music quality rather than shoddy MP3s
* No viruses or spywear
* Fully legitimate -- no chance the RIAA and law enforcement would come swooping in because of my illegal music collection

As soon as I got subscription music 3 years ago, I deleted EVERY shared music track I had downloaded and was much much happier about it.

Take a look at Yahoo Music Unlimited To Go, Rhapsody To Go, or Napster To Go. Transfer to a player requires a PlaysForSure subscription compatible portable music player.

There r thousands of places u can go & find music. Some r free, some u get charged for. Signing up 2 newsletters often gets you loads of free stuff & links to other sites as well. Use search engines, see how many results u get. Also follow the links given 2 u by others here & enjoy. Stay safe though, u never know whic sites been bugged!!! -((

there is not any such difficulty as loose song downloads. Any song that you got from the web should be paid for. in case you do get carry of from an internet site like Limewire and do not pay, you're breaking the regulation. And your ISP is acquainted with what internet sites you visit and what you're downloading so be very careful.

Itunes is slightly more expensive, and if you want to put it on an MP3 player that isn't an iPod you have to re-record it, as Itunes saves it as a weird filetype. MSN music is best if what you want is popular, as it's cheaper, but the database isn't as big.

Check MSN music first, if it doesn't have it go to Itunes. That's what I do anyways...

Well done for paying for music! As a musician I appreciate being payed for once!
