Have people forgotten Mr. Blair stood right next to and supported Mr. Bush when all the hoopla started? Have people not noticed that most of the rest of the world now is united against terrorist and inhumane regimes, such as Iran and N. Korea, and their nuclear programs? The axis of evil first defined by Bush. Have people forgotten all the underhanded dealings going on by several countries and the UN with Iraq? Countries that suddenly fell quiet when it was discovered.
People like to hate the US because we have the ability to back up our words with actions while others talk. There were a lot of mistakes associated with Iraq, most promently not understanding the people, cultures and religion, before coming to the conclusion they would slide right into democracy. But there was no question Saddam needed to be removed. There is no question the threats within Iran, Syria, Lebanon and N Korea will need to be removed, one way or another. These areas are becoming more and more isolated from the rest of the world, by their own actions and ideologies. My feeling is, regardless of the progress in Iraq, we will not leave the region until there are signs of the Israeli issue being resolved. We are stratigically located to maintain a strong influence over anything going on in that region.
It never was only about Iraq. No country would have given us permission to bring that many troops and weapons into the region. Saddam and his sons were madmen, which gave us the in we needed. Sorry if that ruined the plans some other governments had for themselves and stopped the flow of money from the oil for food program.
The fact remains, these middle-east countries had to ability to stop the extremist activities going on within their own borders, but chose to do nothing. Had the region dealt with removing these threats themselves, we wouldn't be there. Now we're there, and it would be foolish to leave while the threats still exist. Many Arab countries have now participated with removing this element from their society and borders. I hope Islam lives on for another 2000 years, because that is not the real issue. We'll go home when we're confident the same threats will not simply rebuild and reestablish themselves in the region.
That's my prediction anyway. Not meant to be arrogant, but just the reality of what needs to occur, once and for all. I don't hold the citizens of any country responsible for the actions of their governments and I appreciate the fact we are not held collectively responsible either. I'm ashamed of many things we've done, but I still see a bigger purpose that must be carried through to completion. Not everyone may agree, which is fine because not everyone agrees here either, but I believe some of these previous opposed governments now also realize we can't just walk away.

There are a lot of ignorant people here, i agree about that, but i do stand behind Bush all the way. What he and our troops are doing over in Iraq needed to be done, they gave us no choice. and our, my, "stupid president" is an exceptional leader who cares about the well being of America! In 2004, when the 3 hurricanes hit central Florida, President Bush was down here in some no-wheres-town helping my neighbors clean up the debris days before the presidential candidate debates. now would your prime minister do that? honestly! Do not think that President Bush is stupid at all;are you saying he bought his degrees? The man is a good Christian Protestant. Agree with you though about hatred towards America. It's an envy thing of naive nobodies in this country. Mr Average in America has a much superior standard of living to anything achievable in the United Kingdom.

Not anti decent americans but I hate ignorant americans who spout the propaganda forced down their necks by the fox news channel and other extreme right wing organisations. I am no liberal but Bush and his policies take the p#ss! Found osama Bin laden yet? Or are you not bothering so you can keep up the myth that is 'al queda' alive. Also I hate anyone who is anti-britsish and anyone who thinks nuking major cities in japan kiiling hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians including women and children is an ok thing to do.
rant over.

My president is not stupid and he is not a coward, real leadership takes courage, something the cut and run liberals know nothing about. I also believe as Americans we have more in common then we do differences. We are free, and even if I disagree with the most passionate die hard liberal he is still my neighbor, still my friend, and we are the greatest country on the face of the Earth by far!

I honestly don't know Bush personally, although many who hate him behave as if they had to talk with him daily. But I find Bush extremely useful in showing those people who are incompetent. Those who want to blame the world's problems on Bush are simply not able to assume responsibility for their contributions to the problems. They want to blame someone, anyone, except themselves. And they are not original thinkers who can resist any peer group pressure.
So when someone bashes Bush, I silently and immediately put them in the category of immature and incompetent. This is a fairly reliable categorization.

I dont blame all the American people nor am I anti-American per-se, just anti ingnorance and blatent stupidity thinly disguised as offerings of universal truth ...
Have to dispute that they were unaware of the nature and inteligence possessed by and shown or more like not shown in
Bush, they do after all have extremely prolific coverage of their electoral procedure and the standing candidates.

I hope everyone from the UK shares your views about the American people. I'm american but i don't agree with all of our governments decisions. I think Bush has pissed people off so much that when he leaves office we will have a very different administration.

While there are people who support Bush and his policies (there are plenty of them from what I gather) then I dislike that percentage of Americans as well as the policies and government they support. Then there are the gun-toting idiots like Charlton Heston, people who eat themselves silly so that it's only modern medicine and other people's money that keeps them alive (there are plenty of those too from what I gather), rape-the-earth-and-not-give-a-damn mentality of certain American businesses, oh and let's not forget the dick heads who are driving up the world price of oil with their petrolium futures speculating.
THAT is why I might be *slightly* anti-American.

First, everybody who incorrectly composed the word, "American" is obviously to damn stupid to have their opinion valued. You CAPITALIZE "American" you retarded anti-American, Commy, socialist pig bastards! Secondly, if you turds hate MY great country, nothing's stopping you from leaving! You're all too cowardly to do so though, huh? Rather just stay and ***** about the things you don't understand. Or talk sh** from your lousey, far-away stys you dumbass' call, "home". Third, for you select WANKERS over in England, worry about joining the rest of us and brushing your goddamn teeth, you dirty worthless pricks! England friggin' stinks! Finally, for all you stinky goddamn liberal hippies. YOU don't like war so you're "anti-war". AAHHHH, well no sh**! Nobody is "pro-war". I think that you and the other America bashers need to be shown OUR 9/11 cheaphot. Followed up by EVERY beheading that MY fellow Americans (whom you all HATE wholeheartedly) endured. Then finished off by stripping you of ALL your belongings, and throwing you and every man, woman, child that unfortunately share your vial blood off of the land. I'm not a huge President Bush fan, but he's our leader. I don't want war, but we HAD to retaliate, and OUR boots are on foreign soil. Both deserve our support during times of war. Your uneducated opinion is TOTALLY irrelevent. Especially all of you American hating Canadians(socialists) & Euro-trash(Nazis lovers) sons-of-bitchs. Don't EVER come here, your NOT welcome!! Keep your pitiful "Euros" and sloppy women. Piss off, M.F.'s!
