I dont want to pay for AOL or other internet providers, can I still go on line with just Yahoo

That way, you will always have Yahoo on ur Computer..

No. You must pay for Internet access.
You can get free services but they install spyware/adware that you are not allowed to move. So big ads will block your view of whatever you are trying to look at on the web. Some ads are permanent and cover 1/3 of your screen if you wish to use their free service.
They will also hijack your internet usage. If you goto yahoo and its their competitor then you will get sent to that ISP site instead of yahoo.
