some of you are no better than zidane and materazzi.
I have been reading some posts and people need to make their point without offending others.
matzerrazi did not call zidane a terroists ,I know this because zidane said so.
he insulted his mom.
stop calling the italians cheat, they beat germany fair and square any team that beat germany the most offensive team of the world cup deserve the cup.
and no I am not italian.
zidane should have known better and he did ,
he thought the referee would have not seen him.
Italy scored a magnificant goal to equalize both teams had the highs and lows./
remember they converted all their penalities so even if zidane was there is possible that trezeguet would have still missed?
the reason why they lost.
I don;t condone matzerrazzi behavior but he is not the first tio trash talk somone , zidane has lost his temper before.
but to be fair he was provoked.

Who cares what would have happend if Zidane kept his cool. the fact is he didnt and Italy won. People will make excuses about everything, and because Italy won people are saying that they are cheats. The italian team aren't cheats, there the best team and thats why they won. Penelty shootouts aren't the best way to end a great game, but those are the rules and if France won that way you would not be complaining.Materazzi never called Zidane a dirty terroist, zidane said so himself in an interveiw, Materazzi should not have said anything to him but Zidane shouldnt have lost him temper and ended a great career so pathethicly

Penalty's are puzzling! the in basic terms one which could want to save penalty's is the 2d perfect goalkeeper contained in the international Ricardo from Portgual! I dont imagine France would of gained with or with out Zidane... Zidane is in basic terms a million human being! Italy has the perfect penalty taker's contained in the international! Italy would of gained both way, France did not need to win seeing they in basic terms performed 2 international video games.. at the same time as Italy performed extra then 4 international video games Forza Italia<3

Not me. I think even if Zidane had stayed, Italy would have won because they were alot more motivated than France. France had older players and they were too tired at the end. Another reason is that France liked to win the WC but Italy wanted to win. They're too different things. And I'm glad Italy won.

Possibly. We shall never know. Unless he created something in the final minutes of the game, it still would have gone to a penalty shoot out. He would have taken the first penalty as he normally takes penalties for the French. He probably would have scored as Sylvain Wiltord did. It was David Trezeguet who hit the crossbar which was the critical miss as far as the French were concerned so Italy may well have won.
However, Zidane would have been the player of the tournament without his name being under a cloud. It would have been a much better way for him to go out.

I think Italy would have won anyway.
If that ref hadn't called that goal that Italy made an offsides, Zidane would never have been carded

LOL, italians suck. The only reason why they didnt get their *** kicked is because they got a cheapshot and a lucky one too, they need a player to provoke Star Players to fight and get send off so they can win. They cheated the whole tournament and it is just one of their scams. SHAME ON YOU ITALY!!!!!!!

No because who knows who's position he would've taken in the penalty shoot out. Although he could've taken Trezeguet's position what if he had taken the position of one of the people who had actually scored. WHO KNOWS??? But it's no use playing what if... because the Italians won and that's a fact.

They certainly could have, since the penalty shootout is a total crapshoot.
I think it's foolish to play 120+ minutes, then leave important games to be decided by chance. They ought to go to sudden death overtime.
