Pain occurs. Pull it out with tweezers or have a friend do it. If left in there may be an infection that ensues (with increased pain,swelling, purulent (pus) drainage, red streaks on the leg pointing to possible cellulitis (infection of the skin) chills and sometimes fever. Most people would have the immediate desire to pull it out.Wash with soap and water,keep it clean, apply Neoporin ointment if you have it, and it should heal just fine.If signs of infection do occur seek out your doctors office and antibiotic therapy will be instituted. Most require a tetanus toxoid shot or your immunization record may be up to date.The general rule is that one is up to date for 5 years with an incident or ten years without. Other forms of tetanus immunization is considered for those that have never been immunized. have a great day.

it ya pull it out...duh: or if is too deep, you may need to use the butcher knife to slice and dig it out,,,but be sure to sterilizes the knife first.

No joke, i had to do it to myself last night...hurts like ------- I'm still bleeding like a stuck pig

If you leave it in..it will get infected...boil it out with peroxide if you can't pull it out.
