I heard somthing about George S. yankees owner once was in the dugout trying to manage a game but was ordered out by the commissioner of baseball.... true?

Ted Turner, owner of the Atlanta Braves, fired his manager and took the managerial duties over. He only got to manage one game before baseball authorities created new rules banning owner from playing coaching or managing the team. I'm not sure of the year, but early 80's maybe.
