Ladies, is it standard American convention to shave our upper legs in addition to our lower legs? I only shave my lower legs -- the hair on my upper legs is scarce, blond, baby fine, and visible only in sunlight. The hair on my lower legs is also scarce but brown and coarser. Do most American women shave their entire legs, or only their lower?

I shave my entire leg, but I know of more women who think it's weird to shave the thigh area.

I shave my entire legs when I'm going to be wearing a bathing suit but most of the time just shave lower.

I usually shave my upper legs along w/my lower leg unless i'm feeling lazy then i just shave the lower legs.

Well I go to school so I shave every 2-3 days but if it's holidays or something and I'm not going out, I be abit lazy and only shave them when I'm about to go out and in winter I wear pants so because I'm lazy I rarely shave them hahaha

You know, my upper leg hairs are like yours, you can barely see them, etc. But I do give them the 'ole shave every once in a while. They don't grow back very fast either....and still grow back very light, so I just shave my upper legs every other shave.

You're lucky. I don't think custom matters. If it doesn't show, leave it alone because if you do shave those, they will grow back dark and coarse and then you're committed for life. I shave my entire leg and beyond, but only because they are dark. If I had fine blonde hairs I would leave them.

Mines like yours, Can't even see it on the top so i just shave the lower

it depends what i'm wearing. however high it is, is how high i will shave my legs.
but i CAN'T STAND IT(!!!!!!!!!) when some ladies shave only their lower legs (claiming that their thigh hair is light) and they wear a skirt and you can TOTALLY see the hair. >_<
and it is actually a myth that your hair grows faster/thicker because of shaving.

Just a knee down shaver here .... the hair on my upper legs is like yours.....blonde and babyfine.

For day to day i just do lower. If im going to the beach or plan on anyone touching my leggs i go hair free from the waist down.
