I am having a dance set in that era and I want to know some songs that are so good you can't leave them out. No songs from the 60s please! It would ruin the theme.

You've gotta have some Doris Day and Muddy Waters, Rosemary Clooney, Nat King Cole, and The Four Aces. These are all great artists who totally embody the Feeling of the 50's, so any of thier songs will do. For the 40's choose something by Glenn Miller, Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday, or of course, Frank Sinatra.

Hope your party is a hit!
