No. The Caribbean Sea is the body of water that surrounds many islands in that area. Some of those islands are US territories, such as Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. Croix) so the water immediately surrounding those islands would be considered American......but many islands are British, Dutch, French or independent. For example, Cuba is in the Caribbean and that's definitely not a place that belongs to the US!

The Caribbean is a sea. The majority of the islands in the Caribbean are independent countries. They are part of North American though. But they are NOT owned by the U.S.

they would want you to believe so but until they find enough oil to make it worth there while we in the carribean are safe for now. howevere they do have territorial jurisdiction over the us virgin islands and that is in the carribean
