The construction of the current NASCAR racer doesn't allow for dirt track racing any more, and a figure 8 race is no way to treat a $125,000 race car.

Not to say that I wouldn't want to see dirt tracking by some of the big names out there, but I just can't accept the figure 8 thing.

I would love to see one dirt track race on the circuit. Odds are that the teams would build a car just for that event. Don't think Nascar really wants the extra expense. Maybe the All Star race could be on dirt.

Those are other kinds of racing. Namely, rally and the figure 8 track racing is just stupid.

It is not a dirt series with that logic should they have a horse race or mabe a bicycle race where the drivers have to peddle 500 miles

no, then it wouldnt be nascar. i think the road courses are too much to begin with.
but if you want to see good dirt track racing, tony stewart now owns eldora in ohio, so you will see a couple nascar guys there from time to time. it has always been good racing at eldora anyways though.

they have a road coarse, its not dirt track though. i think it would be neat to have a figure 8 track but it would probably be difficult because of the turns they have to put in

The day (or evening) before the big race- it would be a great to round out the weekend. How about a demolition derby too?

I think a figure 8 would be interesting. We think there are a lot of wrecks at Dega- a figure 8 would be wild.
