Meaning is defined by each of us in our own way. There is no absolute answer.

The meaning of life or existence is true love. A love so true that there is a spark of the divine within it. A love so true that you are forced to see how infintesimally small you are compared to everything else and your love.

But thats not a science question, you should ask that in the philosophy section and you might get a better answer.

A science answer would be:

The point of life is to spread more life. To generate as many copies of your genes as you can, doing everything that you can to do so. As well, the purpose would be to care for whatever offspring and family you have, so that they will have the best chances of spreading their genes on and on. Mating, survival, and spreading life are the only purposes that science has ever, and WILL ever come up with.

Science is the HOW, Religion and Philosophy are the WHY.

I believe we just just exist regardless of how we got here. I don't believe our lives are written out for us or there is any direction except for the laws of nature or physics on which we evolved from.

Therefore, life is what we decide to do with it, how we perceive it. It can be good or bad. It has alot to do with the memories or "core material" from which we operate and make decisions.
The fact we don't fully understand it complicates things, as does what we do in numbers. Our social structure has as much or more of an effect and that goes without saying.
We know we are reactionary beasts, that being that we respond to pleasure and pain. So I suppose we should try to go through life as pleasurable as possible and avoid as much pain as possible. Review our actions every once in a while and see how we can better adapt to our society.

So again, no I personally don't believe there is any meaning to life on a grand scale. On a smaller scale, yes, that being what we have made of it.

The grand scale seems to be going along as it has been forever, the question is "how are we doing" ?

the meaning for life of a human is to find a mate have kids and grow old while some how try to contine to support the future generations by following the same everyday routine till the day we die just so for the most part to take up space in the world and to also become forgotten by almost everyone so that people can live carelessly to the nextday until they meet the same fate and live their lives with their eyes closed and ears shut, most of them sticking to the old ways of their parents who taught them to be the same way... oops lol i got off track their but basicly the only meaning or purpouse in life is to work for the next generation

Each people must find his own answer. In general we are here to learn some lesson... in other words: we are not perfect because we are connected to the material world and our mission is to understand that and follow the path that will link us with the Father. For that we must change ourselves, because only pure heart can follow this path.

i believe that the purpose of human life is to realize God. Not the "separate" God, that religions teach, but the God that is in every living thing. the God called LOVE, CREATIVE ENERGY, QUANTUM POSSIBILITY. in our life experiences, we are taught that we are not worthy to connect with God without religion, however, God is not religion, religion is about mans' attempts at finding God and needing to be right and in control. As we are an aspect of God, our meaning is to realize that and be happy, enjoying life in any way that includes respecting and honoring that God is in all life. with this awareness, a desire to serve to the greater good naturally unfolds, bringing greater joy.
