Well I'm new here. But I figure I was invited to the meeting why did he not ask me to go with him?

Many bosses think you must keep "subordinates" at an arms length so to speak. After all you can't have them thinking they are your equal. There is also a legitimate fear of appearing to close to an employee.

Are you joined at the hip? You were invited to the meeting. You need an engraved invite from your boss too? Grow up. Your boss will think more of you if you show initiative, self reliance and independence.

Why should he? You knew about the meeting, you were invited to the meeting, and you knew where the meeting was, so what did you need . . .him to walk you there? That would be a sign that he thinks you're too dumb to find your way to the conference room. Consider it a positive thing that he knows you can manage your calendar and find your way to the conference room.
