during the summer of 2007. We like a swimming lake, with light boating, quiet, and near a nice active town. Price is not a concern. Can anyone help us.

American Resort in Honor, MI has nice cabins, quiet, wooded, boats available free. Lots to do in the area. Near Traverse City & more. Not the best swimming lake though. Couple miles down the road are Lake Michigan beaches for swimming & sunbathing..

I used to live there and in the summers my family would go to Chain of Lakes in Mishawaka IN, Koontz Lake in Walkerton IN or Shaffer Lake Indiana Beach which has a pretty big amusement park with rides, etc. All three were perfect for boating, fishing and swimming and all three were inexpensive.
