Ohh my gosh! My cousin has that too! She had a dream once that it was the end of the world, and the whales starting eating people. She is nearly 22 and she is still afraid of them. I think maybe you should see a therapist, or try to get over it by starting out slowly. First, play with a toy whale (I'm serious), like a stuffed one. Then go swimming, then watch free willy. Build yourself up to the level of being able to go to Seaworld.

I think I have a phobia with worrying. I can be out somewhere and all these bad thoughts will run through my head and I will have to call home to make sure everything is ok before I continue to have fun. If I don't call home, my worrying ruins my night and if no one answers the phone at home, then I'm really freaking out. One time I was on my way to work and turned the whole way back around to make sure my curling iron was shut off because I thought I was going to come home to a burned down home and a dead family. I've learned to control these worry habits but it's tuff!!! I worry about things that haven't even happened yet and usually come to find that I never need to worry in the first place. But it never ends! I know that when I go out tonight, I'm gonna be calling home. At least my family understands my phobia.

- I can't use a wash cloth if it has a hole in it .... I think that it will suck me in.
- I can't sleep if my closet door is open and if I do I'll wake up in a panic and will have to close it.
- The bathroom door in my house has to be closed at all times or I'll freak out (don't know why).
- There are two rooms in my house that each have two switches for the light in that particular room. Anyways the switches have to be in a certain directions. A particular one has to up when on; it has to be the ones that are in the south side of my house.
- I have a bedtime ritual: first I have to tell my dog goodnight, I turn the light off, then I close the door to the area where my dog is. If the light is already off .... I have to turn the light on then off.
- I scared of any movie with a sinking ship. I can't look at them. Never watched Titanic. Even the thought of the movie ....
- Also, also the actor Christian Bale .... freaks me out. I can't watch any of his movies from Newsies on down.
I have many more. I'm trying to get over most of my phobia, but I start feeling panicky. I watched some of that Batman movie when Christian Bale played the Scarecrow, but I had to turn it off. Small steps.
Whoops! I meant Batman not the Scarecrow.

Yes! I have to have music in just about all hours of the day! I don't think its a phobia, but even if it isn't, I know there are other ppl out there like me, so, they'll all back me up when I say that it should be a phobia.

I wish I knew what caused phobias. I'm terribly afraid of heights. It doesn't stop me, but I'm so scared that my heart beats out of my chest, my teeth clench and my hands shake uncontrollably. I plan on completely conquering my fear. I want to go up high without panicking so much.

I am afraid of balloons. I don't know why, but I always have been. We had my stepsons birthday at the skating rink this year and when I booked the party I told them no balloons. I got to the party early to make sure there we no balloons and there were so I made them take them down while I waited outside. I know sounds stupid but I hate them.

I have a phobia of spiders and small spaces, but a lot of people have those phobias. I have no clue what causes it, maybe you had a horrible experience with whales as a baby, idk. sorry
