I was involved in politics young and campaigned for several people some got elected and others did not .WHAT i found was jobs come with winners and those jobs are paid with tax dollars .MY parents had been working democrats who ran a small business and were somewhat successfull .I noticed the people i worked for became less supportive of issues they once had explaining you do not no how tough it is in washington .THEY were lost the first few weeks and needed to brush up on procedure but all in all they managed to get a few things done for the folks back home .TWO government contracts got steered to my town WE had a navy base on the closure list also and it got pushed back several times florida is one of those states you see that gets its way from the 70's till today .LOTS OF retired people who have money come here and spend tons of it on homes and recreation.THESE people want to be sure they are taken care of and we have strong promoters of S.S. increases and government insurances .THERE is big money in nursing homes and health care which means drug regulation and price fixing .I know of two manufactureres that had drugs ready for market at 30% cost reduction to seniors here that got bumped in favor of a manufaturing company that was already making heavty profits on its drugs and did not want the compitition yet so they got 2 more years .
I have noticed it is very little about what is good for the people but what is good for the right people and if you are in the right circles you already know whats going on and make money with investments from modest government employ that puts you on the inside and makes you a comfortale life with no worries except were to vacation .

I know my states Congressman, 3 State House Senators, One deceased Senator, and 2 State Representatives and the Speaker of my states House of Representatives. The Congressman was my family Doctor. Worked on his first election campaign. The State Senators I knew from church and social settings. We became friends and have been to their houses on many occasions. Same with the Representatives. My daughter was a Senate aid and we met our Speaker of the House at a luncheon. We keep in touch whenever he is in town. The deceased Senator was a close friend. I worked on their campaigns, and they are very nice down to earth individuals. They have passed many good laws for our state. I will continue to work for their reelections.

I know the senator of the 10th district in Alabama. He is a really great guy & helps out people in the area. I also know Judge Roy Moore who is running for Governor of AL. He is an okay guy, but I wouldn't doubt it if he became corrupted later.

I've gotten to know a few Politicians and Judges personally through many committees I've been on.
What are they really like?
They are ordinary people when not in their professional position.
When they are in their professional mode they are all there.
They all put their shoes on one foot at a time same as you do.

While in high school I worked for a teacher whom is now a state senator. Not that high, but that's the closest I'll get to politicians.

I know a senator in the Unicameral. He's very bright, we went to the same Sunday School class a few years ago. Very imaginative and a good person.

I know my congressman, Virgil Goode-and he lives up to his last name. He is a really nice guy. He comes from old old money, but if you didn't know he was filthy stinking rich, you'd think he was just another guy. He is very down to earth and he loves the area where we live.

I know abel maldanado..hes a ca senator...from my hometown
........his kids killed my best friend and got away with vehicular manslaughter!..the only reason they got away with it was becuase of their father....they should be in jail for life..not out on the streets. my best friend had a whole life ahead of him... and it was cut short cuz they ran a stop sign and he was on a motorcycle. they Tboned him and killed him instantly.
