why do some women have a off smell "down there"?

not really a stank but a lil smell enough to notice when some don't do all women suppose to have a smell?

I believe I have an answer for you. Now keep in mind
I know quite a bit about gynecology, and all the wierd stuff
that goes on "down there"

The smell should only be light, and it should
only smell of very very weak vinegar. And i mean
the smell should be VERY weak.

If it is repugnant then your lady may have a yeast
infection, but more commonly Bacterial Vaginitis
(that sounds really gross doesn't it?)

Bacterial Vaginits is sometimes caused by STDs
but more commonly it is caused by Mycoplasma
or Gardernellla. The reason this happens has
nothing to do with her "cleaning house". The
vagina is naturally supposed to clean itself
constantly. And does a major cleaning once
a month. Also the vagina makes its own
healthy bacteria, that help protect it from
harm and infection.

The reason it happens is because something
was likely put in there to introduce the bacteria.
If her immune system is weak or if she has been
doing anything to decrease her own heathy
bactera ( such as bifidus/acidophilus ) then
the bad bacteria will take over. Also repeated
antibiotic use, spermicide, and sex toys can
cause really horrible infections down there.

The infection can become chronic meaning...
long term. And especially when it is recurrently
treated with antibiotics it will keep comming back.
Sometimes even the man can give it back to her
if his mouth, hands, or penis are not adequately
cleaned. Sex toys can break down if they are
made with cheap material and cause infections too.

Vaginitis can lead to PID if it gets bad enough.
Thus its always good to keep yourself clean
and not insert anything dirty in there, also
make sure she eats yogurt and other
fermented foods to keep herself healthy
with good probiotics.

BTW: Don't EVER let her douche. Those will
actually kill the bifidus bacterium and make
an infection waaaay more likely. For a healthier
"smell" she needs probitics not some toxic
perfume wash.

All women have some sort of scent down there, especially after a day of walking around and sweating, so it's quite normal, just as someone else mentioned about men smelling down there. I suggest not mentioning a douche, because that can clean the area out well but over time will strip the area of natural oils and probably make it smell worse. If it is serious, I would recommend telling her to see a doctor, because it could be a yeast infection, which are caused my many things, and sometimes just happen more frequently to certain women.

My guess is that things such as the type of underwear, hygiene products, and sex life have alot to do with it...dousing ...especially after menstrual periods is a good thing...soaking in body works or Body Shoppe products during a bath.....taking care of themselves....basically...but with the hectic schedules many women have these days...the coochie suffers....also, be on alert for unsual smells in that area...that might be symptom of a infection or veneral diesase...strap up and wrap, good man even after a successful 2 finger smell test.

It can also get bad if it has been awhile since they last cleaned (Like working a 8 hour day of standing and doing real work) Usually if the girl has any self respect she uses a cleansing cloth before anyone gets to that area.

no longer once you've your era and have not showered in 3 days, no, besides the undeniable fact that the organic time-honored scent that hasn't been fermenting... certain. i love the way adult males scent evidently too as long as they sometimes bathe. there's a huge difference between pheromones and funk.
