One company I worked for prefered it. If you came in without one, it took an awful lot longer to advance in the company because they gave the position to someone they felt was better "qualified". Experience didn't enter into it.
It all depends on your field. A masters degree should get you a better starting salary than if you came in without one.

Depends on the degree and what you are planning to do with it. I am glad I got mine and my raise in salary more than paid for getting it.

Some jobs require it but other than that I don't see the worth unless you are trying to specialize in some part of the field you are working in.

If you do a university program and don't do it online, you will not regret it. More education is ALWAYS great, even if you don't use it. Even if it's something loony like "I have a Master's in chewing gum evaluation"!
