How long does the pill stay in your system? I found out that I have a serious reaction to the pills and I've stop taking them only 5 days into the pack, what are the complications on my system from taking them?

The documentated problem is Blood clots. They can cause potentially fatal blood clots. However that reaction is very rare.

According to most of the producers of the pills, the lasting effects of the pill depends on how long you have been taking them. Women who have been taking them for years and stop in order to become pregnant may expierence conception problems for several months.

For you I would say not to worry about that or the clotting. You weren't on them that long to be effected by them.

I don't believe that there are normally problems with not taking the pill but you should really call your doctor to be sure.
