How do I upload it to my computer so that I can email it to my family? I don't want to put it on a public site like youtube. Also, is there any place I can create my own page like yahoo 360 that would let me upload videos to it?

ok, how exactly do i upload(i'm a moron) a video. I cannot find a file name even though the video is uploaded in lumex simple viewer.

Some cameras require you to have a videocapture card. Newer models of digital cameras have a USB connection or you can use a card reader if your camera uses a memory card. In order to email it, you need to compress your files using software--because of the type and size of video files, it is often impossible to send them via email. What you can do is to use file compression software to compress the file before you send it. This is usually called "zipping" the file.
What you will need to accomplish this is a zip and unzip utility, such as WinZip. Though the current version of this utility is no longer free, there are earlier versions that are free to download and use.

if your computer runs XP you should have a program called WIndows Movie maker which allows you to capture dv recording devices and upload it into the program. WMM allows you to delete parts of the video and publish it into a MP4 file which windows media player and quicktime can view. you may have to split the clip into parts to send it through emial, with the large size of video files.

use a usb cable to hook it to your computer. find a website to upload it where you need a password to get in and give the pass to your family.
