will it be any good?
the trailer looks wierd. with the transformers attacking the mars rover.

Only time will tell.
Steven Spielberg is working on the movie and all the Transformers will be CGI, so it's got a chance provided they do not get too wrapped up in the eye candy/special effects and lost in the summer movie blockbuster contest.
Besides, trailers are only meant to tease about and advertise a forthcoming movie, not give everything away in a couple of moments.

Any true Transformers fan should like this movie even if the movie is just above average. I hope it's better though, and I haven't seen the trailer yet. Have fun at the movies.

Provided they don't take too many liberties with the storyline, it could be pretty good. I have seen the "transformation" bit with one of the car autobots, and it looked pretty realistic.
I loved the toys, and I liked the toons (especially the ones with "Rodimus Prime" and the wierd three-faced aliens) so I am keeping an open mind.

I was a huge fan of the toys as a child so I am excited.
I think the Decepticons must be based on Mars or something.
Not a huge fan of Michael Bay but we will see.
